  44. That seems to be a trend in tutorial videos. I showed my daughters the 2 types I find most often.

    1. It's not "HOW TO draw" It's "WATCH ME draw". I'm pretty sure these people are just in it for the views and an ego boost from the complement.

    2. This one reminds me of being back in high school. They give a break down of technique, on screen notes/tips, and by the end you've learned something that helps not just with one piece of artwork but that can be carried over and combined with other techniques one future projects. The only downside to these tutorials is the host usually sounds like your typical teacher – informative, but super boring. You do find a few legitimately entertaining hosts though. These types of tutorials are super rare and hard to find. These ones are in it for the knowledge.

    Most are the first type. Pretty, but lacking substance. If you know the techniques then you can follow along but if you don't, it's easy to get lost and feel overwhelmed and confused.
