Optical Illusions Created by Exploring STEM by Artwork Campers

On the Exploring STEM by Artwork Camp, campers created vector drawings in a free program known as Inkscape http://www.inkscape.org/en/
After making a sequence of photographs that barely differed from each other, they created animations. They then turned these animations into optical illusions utilizing a free program known as Animated Phantasm Creator http://www.mediafire.com/?enbgj7kquxhkbxc
They printed a transparency paper with vertical traces and slowly moved it throughout their static picture. This motion created a way of motion…an optical phantasm.
