The turning cylinders is my favorite. Copying and pasting is easier with ctrl +c and ctrl + v after Selection. Or just put the "four-way" cursor inside Selection and tap ctrl. Move copied object into place and release the click. No need to hold ctrl when moving the copied Selection. Repeat as often as you wish, then release the Selection box (dotted lines).
